Ronald Allen Cheek, aged 73, joined his beloved wife, Jerri Cheek, on the 17th of August. Ron died in the comfort of his home under Aspen Hospice and the care of his daughter, Tina Veilleux; brother, Steven Cheek; sister and brother-law, Joy and Ron Spurlock; and his mother, Grace Cheek. On this day, Ron was alleviated of all his earthly restrictions. After a long battle, he is at peace with his beloved.

Ron was born July 5, 1947, to Glen and Eula Grace Cheek. At the age of 18, he joined the United States Navy. Ron served from the years 1965-1969. He fought in Da Nang, Vietnam alongside his brothers and was honored for his service on multiple accounts. Ron received the Republic of Vietnam Civil Action Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Navy Meritorious Unit Commendation Ribbon, Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross Medal, and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal.
